The resulting decisions with metadata converted to JSON format are stored in a MongoDB database and for fast search, several attributes are also stored in a MySQL relational database. (hereinafter referred to as \"Wolters Kluwer Slovensko\") carried out a survey of end-users of legal texts as part of the KPB1 work package.<br>The aim of the survey was to identify the needs, habits and expectations of entities that regularly work with legal texts. We focused on how end-users perceive current legal information tools, what they lack in them and what specific functionalities<br>could increase their efficiency in their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list has-custom-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-31d93ee3e4d4bd774d76a826d3017c62\">\n<li>Survey methodology<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-361422a0bb122fae0d17babfc29c63e5 wp-block-paragraph\">Number of respondents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-custom-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f615b58f51fc0d1c987f968e95d88219\">102 legal professionals from different areas of law and regions of the Slovak Republic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2462365545bef5b12f83fcc44f214ed6 wp-block-paragraph\">Method of data collection:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-94fd0e4d7fe962e7cc1d6a9caee998e2\">Combined interview form:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Questionnaire with a focus on structured, open-ended questions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct in-depth interview in case of selected respondents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-88b01e44c3f1760869d1457cee4e822a wp-block-paragraph\">Questionnaires were distributed to clients of Wolters Kluwer Slovakia. Not only ASPI users were contacted, but also users of other Wolters Kluwer Slovensko expert solutions who use various legal information systems in their work. After the data collection was completed, a thorough assessment of the relevance of the responses was carried out and they were discarded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3b6669e150e1240988eee980e821edfa\">Incomplete responses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-14691554582bcc160b01e3cb9cfe1802\">Blank forms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2cfeb1165ee176ebc976eafa1b2fb8dd\">Responses with no meaningful value (e.g. \"I use the legal system because I pay for it\")<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6f610f5f58bf28ebb4bd936949794425 wp-block-paragraph\">The questionnaires were anonymous, the data was processed in accordance with the GDPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list has-custom-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-04c0384ae69065512797256af6235326\">\n<li>Characteristics of respondents<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b7ccb3860dc7d28f6b74284174215ff2\">\n<li>Summary of key findings<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-40f57a3eabac05b2f0c1a42f662b0db4 wp-block-paragraph\">Based on the analysis of the responses, the following key end-user needs and expectations were identified:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d3a0e311d1a71dcbd4f500b395e4ff7a\">Fast and efficient search\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Respondents clearly stated the need for intuitive and accurate search that enables them to quickly obtain up-to-date and trustworthy information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They expect the search result to be immediately usable without the need for further verification or assessment of its relevance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-45675a2fb85e5a2ffee46bd129658085\">Working with case law\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Users would welcome concise summaries of court decisions, allowing them to quickly grasp the substance without having to read the entire judgment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The highlighting and extraction of keywords above the decisions was also positively evaluated, speeding up navigation and analysis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4ed4cae84e7215cc1e2b7d6096b90936\">Predicting the outcome of legal disputes\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An interesting request that has been made repeatedly is a tool to predict the outcome of litigation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Such a tool would help to more quickly assess the likelihood of success in a particular case, and thus plan further legal action more effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Although this is a challenging functionality, several respondents see significant potential for the future of legal information systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list has-custom-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a6c703a97820c226647b0a53397890e6\">\n<li>Conclusion and recommendations<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-eb145411d3fac3b703f190b330656c87 wp-block-paragraph\">The survey results confirm that end users of legal texts expect smart, fast and reliable tools that simplify their work and reduce the time needed to search and analyse legal information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7b74f6cce73fcd47233d1722ec9e427f wp-block-paragraph\">Key recommendations based on the survey are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-cb3e9c421cb182cefdb553aad1c992a0\">Streamline search mechanisms with an emphasis on accuracy, filtering and ease of use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b30cf67c2e2d53cf2335d9c024fb4773\">Implement case law summaries and keywords to increase clarity and reduce the time needed to navigate through decisions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li
